Videos of The Keystone Arches

WGBY Connecting Point Tuesday, January 29, 2013
Season 3 Episode 84 | Segment 2
Our own Dave Pierce was interviewed for this segment of the popular
WGBY Series Connecting Point
The western branch of the Westfield River is home to the
first keystone arch bridges built in America, magnificent granite structures
that made railroad travel possible from the Berkshires to Boston to Albany.

Railroad to the Moon is one of our projects being
produced by the Friends of The Keystone Arches
This is a segment of the ongoing documentary production
being assembled with collected video of the story line
when our non profit volunteers have the time together to work on it.
2018 saw great progress that we are exited about.

The Westfield Beneath the Arches video is another
production featuring a whitewater experience
by David Junkins, Heidi Langley, Jim Michaud
and Jim O'Brien in his kayak on the Westfield River at the Arches.
Shortly after this video was shot, Jim O'Brien lost his life kayaking.
A very unfortunate event but doing what he loved.

This promotional video tells of our second non profit interest, the 1840's
Chester Railway Station and Museum. It also adds details of the
Keystone Arches as told by president of each effort, Chester's
very own Dave Pierce. An authority on the railroad industry history
but mostly of the local rails.

WGBY's Connecting Point visited again in 2015.
Dave describes the reasons the rails came through Chester and why
the Keystone Arches were necessary for Boston's economy in the mid 17th century.

Robert Ayr has been kind enough to create
some awesome drone video for us with views you can not get any other way.
This video shows the southern end of the
Chester Railway Station and Museum property
and Station itself.

Robert Ayr also shared this drone video edited
to add transitions and a great selection of music to enhance the video experience.

Samuel Mazzaferro of West Branch Aerial Photography shot and edited this drone video.
Adding special touches to complete a nice representation of the Arches. Nicely done Sam.
